This Ruby Port comes from selected grape varieties of the Douro region. Its deep dark red colour and fresh aromas reveal notes of black fruits that continue on the palate with finesse and a near-mineral character. This is a young, well-balanced Port, ready to drink.
This Port is a Ruby with very limited contact with oak barrels, preserving its original flavour. It is therefore a young, fruity wine with an intense, vibrant taste.

Niepoort Ruby ages on average for 3 years. The grapes come from old, low-yield vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of the Douro Valley. It is vinified in large lagares before ageing in big wooden vats in the Niepoort cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
