This piece comes from a small workshop located in the Centro region of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. Its design is typical of what is known as Caldas da Rainha ceramics, made famous by the artist Bordallo Pinheiro.
The molds used in this workshop have been passed down from generation to generation, and the current owner still uses those of his grandfather. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, and production remains very limited.
