This piece comes from a small workshop in central-western Portugal, in the Estremadura province. Its design is characteristic of Caldas da Rainha ceramics, made famous by artist Bordallo Pinheiro.
The molds used in this workshop have been passed down for generations, and the current owner still uses those of his grandfather. Each piece is entirely handmade with great care, and production is very limited.
