This large bowl is entirely handcrafted in Marinha Grande, the historic heart of Portuguese glassmaking. It is created by fusing layers of colored glass at high temperatures, using a demanding artisanal process.

Its wide, open shape is perfect for serving salads, fruit, or shared dishes. Yet even empty, placed at the center of a table or sideboard, it creates presence—capturing light and bringing structure to the space.

Each piece is unique, born from the meeting of Sílvia’s creativity, a young Portuguese designer, and Rui’s craftsmanship, her husband and master glassmaker. Two perspectives, two gestures, shaping a living object.

This glass piece is designed by Sílvia, a young Portuguese designer, and crafted by Rui, her husband, in their workshop in Marinha Grande—the birthplace of Portuguese glassmaking. Founded in 1997, this family-run workshop combines traditional glassmaking techniques with the innovative fused glass process.
